尭舜

In N1 kanji, there are 2 difficult ones, 尭(gyou) 舜(shun).

Both of them, the name of ancient China kings. And they say both kings did good administration.

It is just a legend. In Japanese senior high school, some of us, know this as a common sense.

Common sense itself is quite vague word.

There is another word related with 尭舜.

That is 鼓腹撃壌(こふくげきじょう). It may be a common sense, also.

At Edo era, such common sense was known in Samura world by text books at their school.

It is one of the cultures and has passed down to now.

However, I wonder if it is necessary to learn such matters by foreigners?

Language has 2 aspects.

One is a tool to communicate.

Another is a tool of thinking.

I would like to assist the learners based on the above 2 aspects mainly.
