How to read Japanese book?

1. Vertical reading

Most of books are written vertically. Your eyes are not used to read vertically. I recommend you train your eyes.

2. Public library

Normally you can borrow books 20 maximum for 2 weeks. Go to kids’ corner and select books for 11 years to 13. If you cannot find the location, ask librarians. Most of them can understand English (I expect so).

3. Also ask them to show books with ruby(in Japanese ルビ)

4. Google translation may help you how to read and meanings. However, if you use dictionary, it is much better to you. It is one of the skills searching the word by dictionary.5. For the beginner, translation will be easy such as The Invisible Man by H.G.Wells, translated by 海野十三
