Kanji merit demerit

Kanji merit demerit
We have been using Kanji for 1,550 years.
Dr.Johnson published A Dictionary of the English Language in 1755.
First French dictionary was published in 1694.
Kanji was imported from China but it reborn in Japan.
Our ancient did not have characters to write down but had spoken language “Yamato Kotoba”.
Our ancient adopted Kanji into “Yamato Kotoba” so called Man-yoh-gana(万葉仮名).
By my personal experience, it is quite easy to read sentences with Kanji.
———–
楷書ないし行書で表現された漢字の一字一字を、その字義にかかわらずに日本語の一音節の表記のために用いるというのが万葉仮名の最大の特徴である。
———–
かいしょないしぎょうしょでひょうげんされたかんじのいちじいちじを、そのじぎにかかわらずににほんごのいちおんせつのひょうきのためにもちいるというのがまんようがなのさいだいのとくちょうである。

If you compare the above 2 sentences, which is easier to read and understand ?
In case of Hiragana only, some words are difficult to identify a word. And it may take a time to understand the meaning.

The merit of Kanji is this fact.
What is the demerit ? Before the word processor was invented, writing is the demerit of Kanji.
Especially difficult Kanji such as 憂鬱(ゆううつmelancholy). You may feel 憂鬱 to write by hand. But now you stroke 8 times a keyboard, you can get it.

There are many methods to learn Kanji for foreigners.
I have explained many time before.
1. Train Hiragana typing in Rohmaji (ローマ字style). It may take a week or two.
2. Join Kanji Training System (free).
In this system, you can select N1-5 levels. Plus there are 3 other categories.
To clear N1, I think you master 3 – 4,000 kanji.
I developed this system in 2005 and modified many times.
Get vocabulary first, the learn Word Order. That is my idea.
